This piece stands out because it manages to balance itself between the opposing notions of humorous and threatening. Look at the fantasy figures here - there are a few who are smiling but even those smiles can be seen as nerves in action.

Execution-wise I have to give this an even higher mark as the pencil work looks pretty confident to me.

This piece has a lot of pop as well. See how it moves from completely dark in the back where that eye ball is to the relative brightness of the foremost figure? Good work - it keeps the viewers' eye running over the piece seeing new stuff. Busy, but not too busy.
